They are useful for both the mind and the body. They fill the child with energy to work harder. They refresh their mind and then they find it easier to learn in their studies also. In this age when our children are suffering from obesity outdoor activities form an important part of their curriculum. Outdoor games also have long term benefits on health. They help the kids stay fit and healthy and as they feel tired at the end of the day they will sleep on time as well. While outdoor games like computers and video games are played singly, outdoor games are played in groups with others. Thus they develop a spirit of competition among the children and they learn to interact and also to make strategies to win. Outdoor games boost of their confidence level and self esteem.
Thus they should go out and learn the importance of outdoor games in their daily routine. They should not be addicted to indoor games. They can play the games only for a while but their chief interest should be in outdoor games only.

Technology has become a very important part in our lives. With the help technology, man has made many gadgets like computer, telephone, tablet, internet, LPG cylinder, washing machines etc. These gadgets have made his life comfortable. In fact our dependence on them has increased so much that we cannot do without them at all. We cannot come to school if the bus operators go on strike. We cannot cook without an LPG cylinder. We cannot do our washing without a washing machine. We cannot do without a TV, a phone, a computer, internet or any other modern gadgets. If electricity fails life for us comes to stand still. If our phone gets dead, we feel ourselves cut off from the rest of the world. Today everything is available on internet. We can do shopping also over the internet. We can send a message or a message through an email or WhatsApp in just a few seconds. Truly we have become the slave of these modern gadgets. We have become so dependent on these machines that we cannot do anything without them. We cannot even remember a thing without the help of these machines. The over independence on these machines has made us physically weak and emotionally dead.

Cleanliness is very essential for the proper development of both mind and body. It is a trait every student must inculcate to improve himself. There is a famous saying ‘cleanliness is godliness’. These words speak a valuable truth and must be taken seriously by each and every one of us. A student can study in a calm and happy way if everything around is neat and clean. Clean surroundings promotes good health and helps in avoiding disease like jaundice and cholera that become a hindrance to our daily lives and may even be fatal. Keeping our body, homes, classrooms neat and clean we can prevent confusion and distraction. It helps us focus and work hard to achieve your goal. Clean and healthy practices save us from falling prey to harmful microbes that damage your body. A well organised and hygienic workplace is essential to remain productive. Damping of rubbish and other waste must be avoided. Dirty surroundings build up stress in the body. We get feeling of repulsion and frustration if our surroundings are filthy.

Today we find only few persons who are completely healthy and fit. There are many around us who are suffering from one disease or the other and we can find them taking some medicine to cure their ailments. But if we practice yoga regularly it will help us in maintaining good health. There are uncountable use of yoga. Yoga helps in keeping our blood pressure at correct level. Yoga improves flexibility of a body, increases strength, prevents aches and improve muscle tone. There are many postures or asans like Kamalasan, bhujangasan, padamasan etc. in Yoga which are very useful to maintain health. Pranayam has a prominent place among all the yoga. It cleans your lungs, nostrils and brain. It is very easy to do and everyone can do it. One who does yoga everyday always remains calm and composed. Yoga maintain our cholesterol level and saves us from heart attack. For a student, yoga is very important in gaining attention focus and concentration. Yoga reduces tension and stress of a student. Yoga embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action, harmony between man and nature. Much is talked about environmental pollution, green house gas effects, global warming etc. But no change can be seen in his attitude and he is cutting trees ruthlessly to meet his demands. It is not only the common man but even the authorities can be seen cutting trees to widen roads or to develop new townships. Bu man does not know the one day he will have to repent for this. It takes several years for a tree to grow. Till that time, many environment and climatic changes may take place. Today with modernization and industrialization, pollution has reached an unimaginable level. The air we breathe in contains many dangerous toxic gases rather than pure oxygen. All of us know that trees are a source of oxygen and if they die, it is going to be fatal for all living things on this earth. If there are no trees, there will not be herbivores on earth; if there are herbivores, the carnivores and omnivores cannot survive. All our natural resources on earth are interdependent and each of us should remember this. Deforestation and felling of trees result in poor rains, soil erosion, green house gas effects, climatic changes and global warming.

Junk food is defined as the food which is harmful to our health. In fact all foods which are unimportant for our body are junk food. Such type of food can be cooked fast and eaten fast. A number of people can be seen eating this food either on the wayside stalls or in the restaurants. We have become so much addicted to this type of food that we do not know how much harmful it is to our body and health.
It harms our liver and digestive system. Too much addiction to fast foods can cause a number of ailments in our body and problems in our digestive system. They can give us ulcers and even cancer. These foods taste good but contain no nutrients. It also causes obesity, kidney failure, diabetes and high blood pressure. Junk food contains cholesterol and fat which cause disorder in heart and circulation of blood. It also cause heart attack.
We eat so that we may live. Thus why should we eat something that takes us near death and disease? Thus we should avoid these foods. Parents should also discourage their kids to continue fast foods.
