4. You are Anjan Sen / Anita Sen staying at 11, Subhash Park, Allahabad.  Last month you got an inverter installed at your house through 'Small World’ of Lajpat Nagar, Allahabad.  Now you find that the inverter is not working and the local electrician, who examined it at your request has told you that it is having some technical defect.  Write a letter to the dealer asking him to replace it immediately under the terms and conditions of the deal.

5. Rama Kant of 160.  Vasant Kunj, Calcutta bought a frost-free Gobrek Refrigerator of 265 Liters from Better Deal, C. R.  Das Market, Calcutta.  Having used it for about a month he finds that the freezing section of the refrigerator is not working at all.  Write a letter to the Sales Manager of the firm complaining about it and requesting for the piece to be replaced. The refrigerator has been given two years warranty against any technical fault.

6. You purchased an L.  G.  Air - conditioner 3 months ago.  It was working well initially and suddenly the cooling effect has been reduced and also there is a rattling sound.  Write a letter to the Regional Manager, L. T.V.

The picture quality is not good. It gets blurred every now and then. Sometimes the colour fades away. The sound quality is also not good. There is fluctuation in the volume. Sometimes there are waves and lines.

Refrigerator

The freezing section of the refrigerator is not working. We are unable to get even a single eatable fresh when kept in it.

Video camera

It works for only 30-40 seconds at a stretch and then it turns off automatically. I have to keep pushing the button again and again to have it going on but in vain.

Wristwatch

It is not working properly. Every day it goes five to seven minutes slow. On two occasions in the past, it completely stopped working though it had been wound properly.

Mobile phone

The sound is quite jarring and sometimes even inaudible. Sometimes its touch system does not work properly.

Desk jet printer

The print quality is very poor. The ink nozzles of the print cartridges get frequently clogged.

Cordless electric iron

Sometimes it does not get heated even after being inserted in the main switch. It has developed some technical fault.

Inverter

Its recharging takes an unusually long time. The water from the battery also leaks. Sometimes its output current is also interrupted.
